Tuesday night at around 10:30 pm, a serious accident occurred on Green Corridor, right before the Drive-In roundabout.
The accident occurred on the lane that was headed from Playa to San Nicolas and the vehicles involved were a white Toyota Yaris and a white Toyota Starlet.
The impact of the crash was so intense that a lamppost was unearthed, and the vehicle went on to swerve over to the other side of the road into oncoming traffic.
It is not yet know what exactly happened, but it is expected that the high speeds or racing played a role.
The police went to the scene to commence their investigation into the matter. Both vehicles were very damaged, but the costliest repairs will likely be the ELMAR lamppost that needs to be repaired.
A tow truck was called to move the vehicles. Luckily no one was injured.
