Parking bracket destroyed after just a few weeks

Police went to tend to a case of destruction of government property on Thursday morning. The area in question is the parking lot right next to the Arnold M. Schüttestraat, where the CEA parking brackets had been broken.

These metal brackets had only been installed a few weeks ago. These metal bars are screwed into the asphalt to prevent unauthorized vehicles from parking in these designated parking spots.

Security cameras captured two men who drove over the parking brackets with their car, breaking the brackets. The security personnel suspected that both individuals were under the influence of alcohol. This occurred during the early morning hours on Thursday, and later that same morning the police had already been notified of this incident.
