FADA: mental health knows no age and must be talked about more

The 10th of October is World Mental Health Day and foundations such as the Aruba Anti Drug Foundation (FADA), together with Respaldo and ‘Stichting Hunto’ held a press conference to acknowledge this day as they always do. ‘Because mental health is very important within a community,’ says Rubiella Toppenberg, Preventative Employee at FADA.

FADA launched a video that carries a very strong message regarding those who are going through certain situations, if you are having a bad day, if your day is not going at all like you had planned, to know that you are never alone.

FADA is working hard in the area of prevention. Which is why they have created this video together with different local artists in order to share the message if you are going through a tough time. Many people are battling mental health issues, and they know it is a long and difficult road. “It is crucial to know that you are not alone in this process, and there are multiple stakeholders here in Aruba who are here to help.” It is important to first accept that you have a problem, and to seek help for it.
