Wednesday afternoon an accident took place in which a girl on a bicycle was hit by a car in Goletstraat.
The driver of the blue Hyundai Tucson appeared to be an elderly person. When the girl on the bicycle was hit, the elderly driver got out of their car to see if she was alright. In her shock, the girl told the driver of the Tucson that everything was ok when asked, after which, the driver left the scene.
The distraught girl rushed home after the accident to inform her parents of what had happened. When her parent heard what happened, the girl was rushed to the hospital to have her wounds inspected. They reported that the child was not able to walk properly.
The parents then went to the police to hand in a declaration of the incident. The parent is now asking that the person who hit their daughter in Goletstraat to contact them at 560-3710.
