Sero Janchi in the dark: falling tree pulls out power cables

It was just past 1:00 a.m. when the power in Sero Janchi went out all of sudden. It turns out that the accessive rain had saturated the earth. This, in combination with the high winds caused a tall cactus to fall onto a kwihi tree, which then in turn fell over and pulled out some power cables.

This caused the area to be left without power. The tree falling over also caused a WEB pipe to break, causing water to spew onto the street.  The utility companies were called to the scene to tend to the issues and to try to bring back power to the area.
