Thursday afternoon at around 4:00 p.m., an accident occurred at Eagle Beach in which a tourist was hit by a boat in the ocean. This led to the tourist breaking their leg.
An ambulance was rushed to the scene to tend to the tourist, who was seriously injured. The police were also present to commence the necessary investigation.
The beach is filled with kiosks for water sports activities such as tubing, seadoo, boat trips, etc. With this overflow of activity on the water, something is bound to go wrong every now and then. Today that was the case, and unfortunately, a tourist was seriously injured.
The tourist was transported to the hospital for more advanced medical care.
This issue is somewhat of a sensitive topic as there have been some serious water sports-related cases in the past that have led the police to conduct the necessary inspections. They are seeing if these establishments have all their permits in order and that they are operating in a safe and controlled manner.
