On Monday night at around 7:20 p.m., an accident occurred on a road in Arendstraat. At that moment, the police transportation vehicle was heading towards the station when they were involved in the accident.
On their way to the station, a white MG emerged from Fordstraat without yielding to the police vehicle.The police officer could not respond quick enough and collided with the MG.
Traffic police arrived at the scene to gather information about the accident. The driver of the MG suffered minor injuries due to the impact. An ambulance arrived at the scene to check on the driver.
