The house was thought to be abandoned. On Wednesday morning, however, some people in charge of the house, located at the corner of Consessielaan and Zuster Cherubinnestraat, went inside and encountered a rather unpleasant surprise.
Police spokesperson Liliana Rasmijn explained that at 8:58 a.m., they received information that when they opened the house for cleaning, as it is a house that is not occupied and is for sale, those in charge found a lifeless body inside.
Various police departments, including BFTO, Technical Police, and detectives, were present. Due to the advanced decomposition of the body, the majority of it was already skeletal. It is unknown whether the deceased is male or female. The body was confiscated to determine if a crime had taken place. It seems that the body has been in the house for some time, other than that, not much more is known.
So far, not much can be said as the case is still under investigation and as more information is obtained, more will be disclosed to the public.
Rasmijn went on to say that, according to those in charge of the house, the place has been closed for a long time, with no one living inside. Now the question is who this person is and how they entered.
