On Wednesday afternoon around 4:50 p.m., an accident occurred in Havenstraat. Here, the driver of a white Toyota Corolla taxi, for some reason, failed to notice a pedestrian and struck them.
The impact was severe and to make matters worse, the victim is an elderly man. He remained on the ground for quite some time until the ambulance arrived. Upon the ambulance’s arrival, they tended to the victim before ultimately transporting him to the hospital where he will receive more advanced medical care.
As for the car, its windshield was completely destroyed due to the impact. The police arrived and documented the accident.
