While there were people at Harbour Arena as early as 6:00 pm, Jeon took the stage till after 10:30 pm, while Romeo Santos did not perform before 4:00 am. Despite many people having already left by that time, many still awaited the singer, who performed for a mere hour and a half!

Romeo Santos arrived in Aruba around 3:00 pm on his private plane. His musicians and musical instruments arrived a bit later on a larger plane. However, the plane arrived too late, causing him to miss his scheduled performance. The promoters and local authorities did everything within their reach to expedite the process, but some delay was unavoidable.

Concert in the early morning

Romeo Santos finally took the Harbour Arena stage at 4:00 am, apologized, and sang until he went offstage at around 5:30 am. Looking at the comments, it’s clear that Romeo failed to meet the high expectations of his audience. For an artist demanding so much, such as refusing to perform if his specific requirements aren’t met, he left much to be desired. Especially since by the time he got on stage, most people were already exhausted and disappointed.

Jeon stepped up

Amidst criticism of the show and the international singer, local artist Jeon received an enormous amount of praise. He performed his best songs, including “Abo so” by Padu del Caribe, engaged with the audience, and energized the crowd well. Unfortunately, the wait for the international singer was too long, causing some to lose interest by the time Jeon even took the stage.

Romeo Santos is expensive

Before the pandemic, Romeo Santos charged no less than $1,000,000 for each concert, just for his performance! This excludes additional costs such as travel expenses for him and his group, hotel stays, food and drinks, ground transportation, and more. However, according to celebritytalent.net, today the singer charges between $2,500,000 to $6,000,000 per concert, depending on various factors. With this in mind, the local promoter believed they could fill the venue with 10,000 people, each ticket would need to cost $250, making the concert very expensive! For his performance in Aruba, he charged one million American dollars, translating to a budget of four million florins for the entire event.

Police stopped the concert

Although the contract stipulated that the singer should perform for at least an hour and forty-five minutes, the police decided otherwise. Since the performance started late, they chose to stop the show at 5:30 am. At that point, the singer had barely performed for an hour and a half. However, the police considered the crowd, how long it would take for them to leave, run home, etc., and decided not to hold responsibility for them until morning. Not everyone appreciated this decision.
