On Saturday night, at around 9:15 pm, an accident occurred on a road in Macuarima. A white Toyota, for one reason or another, crossed over to the opposite side of the road and collided with an oncoming motorcycle.
The impact was so strong that it caused significant material damage. The driver of the Toyota informed the police that he had consumed only two beers, but upon testing, it was found that he exceeded the legal limit by quite a bit, and as a result, he was detained.
An ambulance arrived at the scene to provide medical care to the motorcyclist on-site.
