Roof blown off a house in Hooiberg

On Monday night, after 7:45 pm, the police and fire department had to respond to a house in Hooiberg. This was because the roof of the house was blown off due to a strong wind.

The homeowner was at work when this happened. He explained that someone called him to inform him that the entire roof of his house had lifted due to a strong wind. Luckily, the roof did not completely detach; it got stuck in the house’s gutter.

The police ensured no one approached, while the firefighters handled the situation. After they assessed the situation, they disconnected the electricity and prevented anything more serious from happening.
