Over 1000 bullets stolen from the police station: investigation is ongoing

It is a case that almost no police officer is aware of; a very serious theft of live ammunition from the police station. This happened some time ago, and the case is not yet closed.

When the police moved from Wilhelminastraat 40 to the building just across the street, it was challenging to remove everything from the station. In the upper part of the building, there were also some offices. Among other things, the armory, with its ammunition, was in a tightly sealed concrete room. At first, when a water leak was detected in the compartment, everything had to be removed.

Later, it was discovered that the armory, where the live bullets were stored, had been broken into, and over 1000 bullets were taken. Each pack contains 50 bullets. The 9mm live bullets ended up in the hands of the criminals. During a search in Sero Patrishi as part of an investigation, almost all, according to authorities, of the stolen bullets were found. As of now, the case has not yet been closed.

It is important to mention that the situation has calmed down since the stolen bullets were recovered. Initially, there was concern that firearms might also have been stolen. Fortunately, it turned out to be only the bullets. Just imagine, the stolen bullets could have been used against the police or any citizen in the community. Thank God the situation is under control, but it is still under investigation.
