Presentation of a fish farm project in Aruba

Gunnar Bracelly is the driving force behind Petros, a local company that, together with international investors, wants to start a fish farming project in the open sea, off the coast of Aruba.

He arrived in Aruba this week to present his project to various stakeholders and also held a presentation for government departments.

This is a project that falls under the aquaculture sector, in open waters. NGOs explained that, in the past, they have already met with some fishing group leaders. The intention behind these meetings is to share with everyone what the entire project entails.

They plan to use fish in Aruba’s waters for breeding.

In the plan presentation, they explained their vision and what they aim to achieve with this cultivation, and there were many questions asked.

Bracelly emphasized that this project is intended to alleviate the overall pressure on fishing and cultivate the protein needed for the country itself and for export in a relatively small area.

According to Bracelly, they are just presenting the project, and there is still no decision on whether it will proceed or the timeframe.

The formula behind this project has a complicated structure. There is a company named PETROS AQUACULTURE OPERATIONS registered with the Chamber of Commerce, and the director of this company is Ramiros Meatproducts VBA. The three directors of this company are Ramiro Dubero, Gunnar Bracelly, and Iselle Marguérite Dañe. The company’s address is in Santa Cruz.
