Lately, it has been observed that people tend to have accidents and choose not to stay at the scene. On Friday morning at around 1:00 am, an accident occurred in Macuarima. A car collided with a house, causing damage, and the driver left the scene.
As the accident was severe, the car suffered damage, and oil was leaking. The driver abandoned the scene with his car, but due to the oil trail, he was traced down relatively easily. The driver was keeping an eye out for the police.
When he spotted the police, he tried to flee, but the police followed him. In an attempt to escape, the man collided with the police car and ended up on the ground. Immediately, the police officers exited their vehicle and arrested him. They also confiscated his car, considering that it was part of the initial crime.
