At around 2 o’clock in the afternoon an accident occurred on Caya Betico Croes where a car lost control and hit a streetlight. The vehicle involved was a silver BMW.
The driver was under the influence of alcohol or another substance, and there was nothing else for the authorities to do but detain him to be taken to the police station. Technicians from NV Elmar had to be called to the scene to restore the power supply because the impact of the accident left the entire area without power for a while.
