Many against animal abuse: walk of light in memory of Khaleesi

On Saturday afternoon, a peaceful walk took place in memory of the dog Khaleesi. The pet died cruelly after its owner failed to provide the necessary attention and care.

Khaleesi’s death deeply moved our entire community. It went so far as to remove the abuser from the political party, volunteer foundation, and much more. Khaleesi’s death raised awareness about pet care as it became more popular in the community. After discussions between Marinus Weegereef, Luna Foundation, and others, it was decided and organized to hold a silent march in memory of Khaleesi.

The walk started at the Oscar post of the Fire Department and ended at Governor’s Bay. It saw a lot of participation from different people accompanied by their pets. Among them, the presence of Action 21 leader, Miguel Mansur, was noted. No other politician was seen present.
