Hit and run: pedestrian struck by a car

It’s not the first time hearing that a driver causes an accident and flees the scene. This was the case on Sunday night just after 10:30 pm when an accident occurred in Santa Cruz, near the MEP headquarters.

A car passed by and struck a male pedestrian who was out walking his dog. The driver responsible for this accident did not stay at the scene and chose to leave.

Police quickly arrived and called an ambulance. Upon the ambulance’s arrival, paramedics attended to the pedestrian, who was seriously injured. After stabilizing him and placing him on a stretcher, he was transported to the hospital for advanced medical care.

Police initiated an investigation to see if the cameras in the area could capture the car that hit the pedestrian.
