A serious accident has just occurred on the road in Camacuri, near the Aruba Bank. A black Kia Sportage hit a pedestrian. The police were called to the scene as well as multiple ambulance units. The police immediately closed off the road and diverted traffic while paramedics went to tend to the victim.
Two ambulance units arrived at the scene to assist the injured pedestrian. The Kia Sportage collided with a traffic sign and came to a stop a little further ahead. Although the paramedics tended to the pedestrian right away, they were unable to do anything more for them.
The police commenced their investigation to find out what happened. This marks the fourth traffic fatality for the year 2024. One person has been detained at the scene.
