Aruba’s arrest team gets new members

Aruba, once again, hosted intensive training to recruit new members for the Arrest Team. The Arrest Team is considered a professional unit that focuses on different areas, but one of the key areas is apprehending suspects deemed dangerous.

The time has come to recruit more new members for this elite team. This is why the Aruban community may have witnessed and experienced various events in our country in recent months. All of this is related to assessing the quality and skills of each trainee who participated in this training.

The training took place in cooperation with all countries in the Kingdom of the Netherlands, namely the Netherlands, Aruba, CuraƧao, Bonaire, and Sint Maarten. It also received support from professional Police units from each Kingdom country to assist in this intensive training.

The training was led by Aruba’s Arrest Team in conjunction with all counterparts from the Dutch Kingdom who helped prepare the training in Aruba. The KPA (Aruban Police Force) thanks the DSI team from the Netherlands and the Marine Corps Barracks for their support and assistance.

“I am extremely proud of the new colleagues of the Arrest Team who received their blue berets. This training was made possible by working together with the Kingdom bodies, the College chief, the DSI from the Netherlands, and the Marine Corps Barracks. These new members are of high quality in our region,” said Commissioner Ramon Arnhem.
