On Saturday evening at around 6:30 pm, an accident occurred at the intersection near Wema in Ponton. It involved a silver Mitsubishi and a white Suzuki.
While the police were documenting the accident, they noticed that the behavior of the driver of the Suzuki was a bit strange. His speech was slurred, which was sufficient reason to conduct an alcohol test on him.
Unsurprisingly, he exceeded the legal limit. The driver was detained and was transported to the police station for further processing.
