On Sunday afternoon, an elderly man fell down and hit his head in Emmastraat. The 68-year-old man had one too many drinks and neighbors watched how he swerved along Koningstraat.
At the Emmastraat intersection, right by the Wit Gele Kruis, he fell and hit his head. He was quite injured, so the police were called to the scene. Initially, authorities believed that he had been hit by a car.
Residents in the area who saw what happened, ran out to help and alerted the authorities. Police requested an ambulance and paramedics managed to treat him at the scene. His head injury is believed to be quite serious as he was bleeding heavily.
