On Sunday night at around 8:00 pm, a man was detained for setting fire to weeds in Druivenstraat.
The man decided to set fire to a vacant lot filled with dry weeds. Just then, the residents saw him and immediately notified the police. Upon police arrival, the residents informed the police that the man had gone to hide in an abandoned building.
The police went to the location and found the man hiding inside. They arrested him on the spot. According to information received, he is a person who frequents the area. Neighbors indicated that they have seen him robbing the Dakota neighborhood on several occasions. The neighbors informed the police that it’s not the first time he’s engaged in such strange behavior in the neighborhood.
It’s not known why the man, who appears to be quite young, decided to set the weeds on fire. He was taken into police custody and presented before a prosecutor to address his actions.
