Three students and one graduate will participate in a virtual session on studying in the United States

The Plenipotentiary Minister in the United States, together with Education USA, is now offering a virtual session on Friday, May 10, 2024, for students who are going to study abroad in the United States.  During this session, students and graduates currently in the United States will speak and share their experiences.

Whether you are in your final year of high school and are going to study in the upcoming academic year, or you are still deciding if you want to go to the United States, whether you are an adult or an educator who wants to know more about studying in the United States, all are invited to the brief one-hour session on Friday, May 10, from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm.

The speakers will be Maria Zambrano, a student at Valencia College (Orlando, Florida), Jesselyn Peterson, a student at Wayne State College (Wayne, Nebraska), Jean-Pierre Croes, a student at the University of Texas Rio Grande (Edinburg, Texas), and Emeliën Kelly, a graduate of the University of Central Florida (Orlando, Florida) and Florida State University (Tallahassee, Florida).

To participate and receive the virtual link, you must register either via https://forms.gle/YvTPa4QhbaMXeFbFA or by sending an email to [email protected].

Education USA in Aruba is an initiative of the US Department of State, which, through the US Consulate General in Curaçao, provides accurate, comprehensive, and up-to-date information on study opportunities at accredited schools in the United States. Recently, Minister of Education, Endy Croes, appointed a local professional, Edseline Gomez, as Senior Advisor at Education USA.

At the same time, a close collaboration began between Edseline Gomez of Education USA and Zulema Dabian-Erasmus, the Plenipotentiary Minister in the United States, which resulted in this first virtual session.
