Representatives from the sports organizations of Aruba (IBiSA), Bonaire (INDEBON), and Curaçao (FDDK) met in Kralendijk, Bonaire, from May 25 to 27, 2026, to evaluate the Inter-Island Games 2026 and prepare for the 2027 edition.
During the meetings, the delegations reviewed the organization, sports program, and several areas for improvement to further strengthen the regional event. The evaluation confirmed that the Inter-Island Games continue to meet their main goal: promoting friendship, mutual respect, integration, and healthy competition among young athletes in the region. The event also continues to serve as a platform for sports development and cultural exchange between the participating islands.
Discussions also included the possibility of expanding participation in the future to other islands and countries, including Saba, Sint Eustatius, Sint Maarten, and Suriname. The representatives expressed their intention to strengthen the regional and international impact of the event by creating more opportunities for sports, cultural, and educational exchange.

During the meetings, the official program for the Inter-Island Games 2027 was approved. The event will be held across Aruba, Bonaire, and Curaçao:
• Aruba (February 25–28, 2027): 3×3 basketball, Cruyff Court football, and beach tennis
• Bonaire (March 11–14, 2027): softball, Baseball5, dodgeball, and water polo
• Curaçao (April 8–11, 2027): athletics, Cruyff Court football, and volleyball

The representatives reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening cooperation and working together with other islands and countries interested in joining the 2027 Inter-Island Games. The shared goal is to deliver a successful event with a high sporting and organizational standard, benefiting all participating young athletes and the wider community.
