Three separate traffic accidents were reported in different areas of Aruba on Wednesday, leaving one person injured and causing damage to several vehicles.
The first accident occurred at around 4:30 p.m. on Watty Vos Boulevard, along the section connecting Bushiri and Ponton. Four vehicles were involved in the collision. The exact cause of the accident was not immediately known, and authorities launched an investigation to determine what happened.
Ambulance personnel responded to the scene to provide medical assistance to an injured person. Traffic in the area was temporarily affected while emergency crews worked at the scene.
A second accident took place at the intersection of Caya Frere Alexius and Caya Frere Vincentius. According to information gathered at the scene, a white Kia Picanto crossed in front of a green Toyota Yaris after failing to yield the right of way.
The collision caused significant damage to both vehicles. Fortunately, no one was injured. Authorities arrived at the scene to document the accident and direct traffic.
Later that afternoon, at around 5:20 p.m., another accident occurred at the intersection of Westraat and Boliviastraat. A white Suzuki reportedly crossed the intersection without yielding the right of way and collided with a Kia traveling on Westraat.
One person sustained a head injury in the collision. Ambulance personnel were dispatched to the scene and provided first aid and emergency medical assistance.
The three accidents serve as a reminder for drivers to remain alert, particularly when approaching intersections. Traffic authorities are urging motorists to pay close attention to right-of-way signs and follow traffic rules to help prevent accidents and keep all road users safe.
