Dr. Sneek: The secretary is human too

A patient of Dr. Sneek denounced de doctor’s secretary for not treating her correctly. The doctor reacted to give her side of the story. The patient wants a referral, which she received from the doctor herself.

The doctor explained that she was not aware of the problem but learned later on from the patient that the secretary wasn’t much help. They asked the secretary if she wanted to give a statement, but she refused. Dr. Sneek commented that it is Monday morning, and the patient has been going there for a while now.

She also explained that these are challenging times and very busy, as well. Mondays are extra busy. She indicated that the secretary is also human and doesn’t know what might have happened at her home during the weekend. 

She doesn’t know in what mood the secretary is in today. She doesn’t know what happened between the patient and the secretary. She learned from the patient that the secretary did not have much time to help her. She can say that on Mondays, both secretaries are busy attending many phone calls.

The doctor is grateful for having heard her side of the story. But regrets that they called the press. She explained that there are a mailbox outside and a complaints committee. The complaint committee’s first step would be to solve the problem between themselves.
