Friday around 6:30PM, the police went to an address in Ponton, Hubadastraat 11D, to deal with a dentist working illegally and an illegal immigrant. The authorities got the order to arrest this female dentist. She has no working permit, and dentistry is a very delicate job where hygiene and the necessary conditions are very important.
They arrived at the house, but she was not working at the time. Her family was not happy and got upset with the police when they arrested the female dentist. But the police had the situation under control, and they took the dentist to the police station in Oranjestad.
It was important to receive information from people who can confirm that the dentist was working secretly. She isn’t the only dentist working this way. More people who come from Venezuela are doing the same kind of work here in Aruba.
Not only dentistry but also other work in the medical field where special equipment is needed to make sure not to damage people’s health.
This situation got a lot of attention because the order to arrest the dentist came from The Public Prosecution Service (OM) based on calls, investigation, and evidence.
