Owners lose house without prior notification

Francisco Tromp and Gina Tromp Chong, who live in Hooiberg, lost their jobs, and this morning someone showed up claiming they bought their house. It was an unpleasant surprise because they never received any notification from FCCA.

According to Tromp, they were fired from their job at DOW without a valid reason and pay. Because of this, they weren’t able to pay for the house anymore, and he is over the age of 70. Together with a sick child of theirs, they have to come around with 2000 florins. They sent a letter to FCCA explaining their situation in the hope of a solution and avoiding the home from being auctioned.

Michael Williams says that Stichting Aruba has received numerous calls from people asking for help. Institutes must be aware of what is going on in the different Government departments, and they urge the Government to come with a solution fast.
