Protection Code, one of Social Crisis Plan projects, is in full preparation to be officially launched and added to the Laws of the Justice, Education, Social, and Health Care Sectors. During the past few months, different trainings and workshops have been given in all four sectors as part of the preparation plan to introduce the Protection Code.
Its focus is to equip all professionals in the sectors that work directly with the children and parents to manage any case where they suspect child abuse properly, using the Protection Code Law.
The main goal of the Protection Code is to make sure that all the children in Aruba could grow-up in a safe environment, strengthen the care structure, and for cooperation between professionals working at the different institutes. The plan is to implement the Protection Code Law by next year.
