Family Tromp removed from their home

This morning a debt collector, together with the police, showed up at Sero Biento 14H to remove a family from their home. They hadn’t even had breakfast yet. After living 14 years in this house, FCCA went and sold the house without them knowing. All their belongings were removed from the house.

Fransisco used to maintain the trees on the side of the road but was released from the job last year without a valid reason. And according to Gina, the Government owes them 21 months of payment. Thus, they started getting behind on their mortgage payments at FCCA and were not given the option for a payment plan.

With all of their belongings outside the house, they are left with nowhere to go. The couple finds it unfair that they didn’t even get a chance to look for somewhere else to go.

According to the Tromp family, FCCA never called nor sent a letter informing them about selling their house. They believe it’s against the law to sell a house with people living in it, and not even a lawyer was able to help them.
