Police stopped illegal work at Divi Phoenix

On Thursday night at around 7:50 pm, authorities went to the rear part of Divi Phoenix, where they were filling rough patches of beach that had been reduced to stone when the ocean washed away all the sand.

In the area, only large and dangerous boulders remained. They were filling the area with sand to prevent people from stumbling and falling over the rocks, potentially injuring themselves.

DOW also appeared to see if it was necessary to close the area.

But in the end, all work was stopped because the necessary permits were not obtained.
