Sunday around 5:00 am, information was received about a car that hit a brick wall and entering a yard of a house in De La Sallestraat. By the time the police had arrived, those responsible already left the scene.
Residents of the house explained that the car involved was a grey Toyota F.J.Cruiser with numberplate A-52451 and is registered under the family name with initials O. who lives in Nayostraat.
The vehicle was coming from Solito and heading in the direction of Kamerling Onnestraat. There were no brake marks on the road, which means that the driver hit full-on into the fence’s brick wall.
They left behind a bottle of juice and glass that smelled of alcohol. The small number plate was left behind and confiscated by the police. With the information received, the Traffic Department police will now have to follow up on this case and find those responsible for this hit-and-run.
It is good to mention that a hit-and-run is punishable. The law says that when involved in an accident, one was must stay and wait for the police to arrive.
