Just around midnight, information was received about a car that caught fire in the vicinity of MFA in Savaneta. The first police unit to arrive confirmed that there was indeed a grey Nissan in flames.
They called for both the firefighters and an ambulance to come to the scene. The driver of the car became unwell at the scene. While the paramedics were treating the driver, the firefighters were able to put out the fire quickly.
Why the car caught fire is still unknown. The Technical Department of police, together with the insurance company, will have to investigate this.
