During the heat of the action last week at the hospital, different strong expressions were shared. Jacco Vroegop, Director of the hospital, expressed that all emotions should be put aside, and we must continue negotiating. Mr. Vroegop also said that it’s impossible to negotiate if we do not know how much money AZV receives as their budget.
In the name of its members, Labor Union ABV asked to stop the 5% salary reduction.
Vroegop believes that it is crucial to keep talking, and that happened the entire last week. They are not finished negotiating and must still discuss different topics.
“We must remain professional and together fight for the hospital, the employees, and the people. They agreed with ABV that they would continue talking and make sure to find out how much the reduction of the hospital’s budget will be and for the time being, the agreement in their CAO remains valid.”
Yesterday, the hospital sent a letter to AZV, asking for clarity on their budget. The hospital needs to know what type of care they would be able to provide and inform the employees of a possible salary reduction. Friday is the deadline and afterward will meet with ABV.
