A few minutes before 5:00 pm on Monday an accident occurred in front of Well Well Bar & Restaurant. There was a pickup coming from Santa Cruz heading Downtown who’s driver lost control of his car.
To avoid a child that ran onto the road, the man driving the pickup braked so hard that he lost control of his vehicle. This caused him to swerve into oncoming traffic and colliding with a Toyota Yaris that was on its way to Santa Cruz.
Traffic police arrived at the scene to document the accident. The woman driving the Yaris reported pain and immediately asked for ambulance assistance. When the ambulance arrived, the paramedics attended to her and then transported her to the hospital.
