Stolen car found in Ierlandstraat

A while ago, a red Kia Rio was found in Ierlandstraat. The car was stolen at around 2:00 am and abandoned in Ierlandstraat.

The person who stole the vehicle broke the rear window. The police arrived at the scene to gather any potential information at the scene.

The Police’s technical department found fingerprints and once again, the same modus operandi was used to steal this Kia. The thief broke the car’s ignition switch in the early hours of the morning and drove away with the vehicle. The owner of the Kia Rio was informed of what had happened and provided a statement.

Several thieves were apprehended, but because they are minors, they are already out of police custody. This group of rambunctious teens causes a lot of problems in the neighborhood. They have been apprehended before, but this is as useful as carrying water to the sea. Since most of them are unsupervised, they will continue to wreak havoc.

The thieves left the Kia Rio parked next to a utility house in Ierlandstraat to return to it. They removed the rear license plate, although they left the front one on.

An investigation is underway to cross-check if the fingerprints match those of the young individuals who were detained. Most of them are underage. However, the criminal activities continue from this group.

Inside the car, an ID was found, likely belonging to the owner. The ignition switch was tampered with, as seen in video footage showing how it was quickly broken and started to drive away. They used a specific method for stealing Kia cars.
