Tensions ran high as a child was locked inside a car. The alarms were sounded immediately when a two-year-old child was locked inside of a car after the door closed due to wind.
The police arrived to the parking lot behind the ex-Bon Bini Bazaar to assist in rescuing the child. The mother was setting up the stroller when a gust of heavy wind shut the door and locked the child inside. The door locked and the child was trapped inside. This occurred at around 4.45 pm in Middenweg in the Downtown area.
The police got the mother’s approval to break the car’s back window to be able to open the door and reach the child, who was also seated in the back seat on the passenger side.
