Police arrived at the scene of a serious accident that left various people injured. This took place in the high-traffic area in Pos Chikito, near the national television studio.
At approximately 9:00 am at the crossing of Malohistraat and Pos Chikito, an accident involving a gray Nissan March and a blue Kia Rio took place.
The impact was significant and left three people injured. An ambulance was called to the scene.
It was understood that the Nissan March arrived at the junction, coming from the south, to make a right turn into Malohistraat. The blue Kia Rio was behind the March overtaking some cars. The Rio failed to notice that the March was turning and could not avoid the impact.
The Rio hit into the March and sent it flying into the yard of a house across the street, while the Rio spun out of control and finally came to a standstill in the middle of the road. A nearby resident with medical knowledge provided the victims with first-aid care while waiting for the ambulance to arrive.
Three people were injured in this accident and were transported to the hospital via ambulance to seek medical treatment. According to witnesses, this junction is a dangerous one where accidents like this one occur frequently. After the damaged vehicles were towed from the road, traffic could continue as usual.
