Police have finally been vaccinated

Today was the start of various members of the Police Corps getting vaccinated. This afternoon, the Minister of Justice, Safety and Interrogation Mr. Andin Bikker, together with the high commissioner Vanessa Kock received their first dosage of the vaccine. As one of the groups of people that constantly come into contact with the public, finally, the police, as well as first responders, received their first vaccine to prevent the risk of the virus getting in the way of their jobs and to stop a potential spread.

Minister Andin Bikker is pleased with this development. He got the vaccine to demonstrate once again that it is safe to get vaccinated. “I am happy with DVG and my colleague Minister Dangui Oduber for the tremendous organization of the vaccination process. Fast, efficient, and super professional”.

Soon they will continue with other departments and members of law enforcement. The intention is to vaccinate as many citizens as possible. Amongst them, the citizens that run the highest risks will be the first to qualify for the vaccine. With this, DVG has opened up the process to incorporate more citizens who, due to their jobs, run a higher risk of contagion and possibly spreading the virus.
