Trudy Hassell: I waited for Blauw to get out of KIA to talk to him

Police commissioner, Trudy Hassell, during a press conference that she organized in front of KIA to confirm that she really did try to talk to formerly accused Juan Junior Quant yesterday, however, to no avail. She dismissed that she has a romantic relationship with Blauw

Police commissioner, Trudy Hassell confirmed that she was waiting for Blauw during the press conference held outside the correctional facility KIA a little while ago. She did so not because she has a romantic relationship with him, but just to talk to him and give him some advice about staying on the correct path now that he has received a second chance at life. Hassell informed the press that the newspaper Awe Mainta regrettably publicized the news without asking her first or confirming with her if she is smitten with the prisoner.

Hassell reminds everybody that she started a movement called Let’s Talk 17 years ago that helps children and adults who strayed off the path try and find their way back. She has various success stories of people in the community who followed the program and who managed to change and now live exemplary lives.

According to the police commissioner, who used to be the director of KIA and the boss of the Coast Guard, this was exactly what she went to do there today. She knows Juan Junior Quant, known as Blauw, from her time running KIA. And she figured, since he is getting out of prison, that she would get up extra early to make sure to be outside of the correctional facility before 7:00 am to wait for him to exit to try and talk to him.

It should be mentioned that her plans did not come to fruition. When she arrived outside of KIA, she went to speak to the security guards, and then instead of entering the grounds, she came to stand next to the press and some of Blauw’s friends that were waiting for him. she then went to stand a little further ahead, and when Blauw exited the prison, she had already left.

Commissioner Hassell did not appreciate Awe Mainta’s article and that she has spoken to a paralegal already. She plans to start a legal procedure against them because she is fed up with how often the press is writing inaccurate or false stories about her.

One better argument against the former KIA director is that it makes no sense for her to be parked outside of the prison, in her service vehicle that is paid by the government, to go make a personal visit.

But on the other hand, the police commissioner explained that as police officers, they do far more than just going after criminals. They also conduct a lot of social work, like attending to people who have been locked up and are now going to start a new life.
