Despite the new measures that were announced by the Crisis Team on the 26th of March, today there were a lot of people out at Baby beach enjoying their day off on Good Friday.
Amongst the new measures, there was a prohibition of gathering together for more than two people. This means that no more than two people are allowed near each other.
The consumption of alcohol out in public is prohibited on the beach, on the side of the road, or any other public location. As of today, there are 659 active cases and there are 35 people currently admitted to the Dr. Horacio O. Oduber Hospital, of which 13 are in the Intensive Care.
Visiting and even camping on the beach has been a tradition during this holiday season for years.
