First patient from Curaçao arrived in Aruba

In the late afternoon, the first flight with a patient from our neighboring island Curaçao. This is one of the five patients infected with COVID-19 was announced to be arriving in Aruba earlier in the day. These five patients will be hospitalized in Aruba in order to alleviate the medical burden placed upon Curacao at the moment. The airplane arrived at the General Aviation runway, where an ambulance was waiting to transport the patient to the hospital.

Within a matter of minutes, all those involved performed their respective tasks and the ambulance was on its way to Dr. Horacio E. Oduber Hospital. 24ora.com confirmed that only a mere two hours later, the second airplane arrived. It is unknown if the patients will continue arriving through Saturday night or if they will be arriving on Sunday morning.
