Police confiscate firearm during the weekend

The Police Corps conducted many inspections during the past weekend.

The San Nicolas district also formed a part of the preventative searches for firearms and drugs. Attentive police officers stopped a Nissan Sentra in Pos Chiquito with three people inside. During the inspection on one of the people, they found a firearm. The police detained all three of them right away, confiscated the firearm as well as their vehicle.

To sum things up, the San Nicolas police made a total of 15 arrests, stopped 24 vehicles to inspect, handed out 9 fines, as well as inspected 11 establishments and patted down at least 75 people in total.

The Police Corps will continue with these inspections so make sure to have your vehicle’s documents in order. The Police would also like to emphasize the importance of not drinking and driving. Do not put the lives of others at risk by getting behind the wheel while intoxicated.

By ensuring the above, together we can ensure safer roads for one and all!
