After just a week, the ‘Raadkamer’ handled former politician Otmar Oduber’s case, and today the sentence was made already. The judge agreed with him and went against the Public Ministry, who again, was unable to bring anything new to the case!
Otmar Oduber went to court to request that the money that was taken from him at the start of the investigation in 2020 be returned to him. According to him, they did not even touch on the subject of money during his detention. Which is all the more proof that the confiscated money is not even of that much importance to the case.
The judge stated that both sides must be brought into balance and it should be kept into account that two years have passed. They had all the time in the world to investigate the confiscated money, but they never got to it. It has therefore been decided to return his money to him.
