Taekwondo team satisfied with results achieved in the States

Last week, the President’s Cup was held in Jacksonville, Florida. The competition saw the participation of 6 Aruba athletes.

Monica Pimentel attended the “technical meeting” to inform the athletes of all the rules that would be applied at the President’s Cup.

Jenniffer Baez managed to score a Bronze medal in the Poomsea category of ladies under 40.

Kianna Krosendijk did not share the same luck as before in Costa Rica, where she won a Bronze medal. Krosendijk participated in the cadet category -55 kilogram and faced Andrea Delgado from Puerto Rico against whom she won 2 out of the 3 rounds. Krosendijk thanked everyone who purchased their BBQ and Seafood special and all drivers who contributed. The help ensured Aruba’s participation in Jacksonville, Florida.

Jourde Klaber faced Vicente Pizarro of Chile and won 2 out of 3 rounds. Klaber won the first two fights against Greg Jean-Baptiste of Haiti, 2-0, and then faced Melvy Alvarez of the U.S. This time, Alvarez had his hands full with Klaber. Klaber lost 1 point to Alvarez due to a penalty.
