Director of DIP testifies in Avestruz trial

His connection is related to the process and management of awarding permits, both residential and commercial, in Aruba. Under his management, the Flamingo trial surrounding ex-Minister Otmar Oduber, and now Cucuisa, in which DIP itself is being investigated. However, the director was called in to testify under oath as a witness for the Azestruz trial. A total of four attorneys on the defense side requested the director’s presence for questioning.

Not only Haime Croes was called to testify but ex-Director Franklin Abath was also heard in the morning hours. Haime Croes, ing, Ph.D., testified in the afternoon. Today, Errol Sjak-Shie followed by Gerald Tsu will be testifying in court. Both worked as consultants at DIP and there know about the processes and management.

Intense interrogation

At one point, the interrogation in front of the judge had become heated as the attorney started to lose their patience. The commissary judge had to intervene at various times as Haime Croes felt attacked during the hearing.
