An alarming situation occurred last night at a home in Pos Chikito when an explosion occurred and an elderly woman was injured.
This occurred yesterday at approximately 5:00pm in Betonicastraat. Here, a stove exploded and injured the elderly woman inside the home. She required immediate medical assistance.
The situation was alarming as it concerned a gas explosion, which can be very dangerous. When it occurs, it is crucial to get to the bottom of it as quickly as possible in order to resolve it.
Both the fire department as well as the police rushed to the scene to tend to this incident as quickly as possible. The Victim Support Team was also called to come tend to the family affected.
It was definitely a shocking and unfortunate situation, resulting in one person being injured. A little while later, she was transported to the hospital to receive medical attention.
