In the month of October: Tourism recovered 105% compared to last year

The Tourism Office, ATA, has informed us that Aruba has received a total of 83,404 stayover visitors for the month of October. If we compare the month of October 2022 to the same month in the year 2019 – which was the last normal year for tourism before the pandemic – we can see that Aruba has recuperated by 105%.

The three places that our visitors came from during the month of October 2022 are The United States with 61,156 visitors, which represents a 105% recuperation when compared to October 2019, The Netherlands with 3,767 visitors, representing a 104% recuperation compared to October 2019, and Colombia with 3,291 visitors, which represents a 160% recuperation when compared to October 2019.

2022 COMPARED TO 2021

2022 shows a stronger and more stable growth than 2021. If we compare October 2022 to October 2021, we can see a 19% increase in the number of stayover guests, going from 70,056 visitors to 83,404 visitors.

MARKET

North America remains the largest market for Aruba in October 2022  with a total of  64,700 visitors. This represents 77.6% of the total stayover visitors. This number was 7,534 visitors from Europe, which represents 9.0% of the total stayover visitors, and 7,703 stayover visitors from Latin America, which represent 9.2% of the total stayover visitors.Some honorable mentions are the  3,467 stayover visitors from other parts of the world, which accounts for 4.2%.

2022

During the first 10 months of 2022, Aruba received a total of 899,766 stayover visitors, which represents a 97% recuperation when compared to the first 10 months of 2019.It should be mentioned that during the first 10 months of 2022, we have surpassed the total number of visitors from The United States by 10,173 when compared to this same period in the year 2019.
