Residential road in Rooi Afo plagued by potholes

Resident of the Rooi Afo area which falls within the Paradera district have contacted us to use our platform 24ora.com and TREMPAN to request DOW to please check the area. The road has been covered in potholes for the past few weeks. Resident expressed “we pay a lot of money to use the roads and this is the unwelcome result that we do not deserve.”

On the 12th of January, one of the resident sent an official compliant via the DOW website but has yet to receive a responde. After personally sending an email as a reminder, the resident is still waiting to hear back. Something they consider unacceptable.

The residents are concerned and want the DOW to inspect the area and bring a solution to the pot-hole filled road by placing a layer of asphalt.

The residents have also sent in a request 13 years ago to the minister at the time but have also not heard back. The road is the only one in Rooi Afo still functioning as a dirt road. They believe it is time for DOW to respond and help the residents.
